Predicting Accurately!
The upcoming movie 300 will ignite a flame and bring in audiences across the world with the amount of action and violence inscribed in it. I believe this movie will become a classic with due time and will bring in revenues that will surpass records or will come tremendously close. The previews for it look amazing and it is a mix of Lord of the Rings, Alexander, Kingdom of Heaven, and others. A movie with a mix of these box office hits has to become a success. I cannot wait for its release on March 9th, this Friday. I'm going to it for sure and will comment on it in a week or so. Please leave me a comment and tell me about the hype or anything over this movie! Again, this WILL BECOME one of the greatest movies of all time!
Reno 911!:Miami- Tickling America's Funny Bone
Reno 911!: Miami is exactly how I imagined it. The plot was unstructured, the time was also slim as it was 80 minutes, yet there were times with which comedy was at its best. The Comedy Central TV series deploys the group on a trip to Miami for a police convention. Upon their arrival, they are rejected by their peers as not being on the so called list and are forced to stay in a nearby hotel, their hopeful aspirations crushed. However, over their stay, the hotel with which the Miami police and other police academies are at get a taste of a chemical substance or contagious epidemic and the streets of Miami are left unprotected as the Reno group steps up to take on the challenge to be the "Protector of Miami.." Such odd job tasks include moving a whale, figuring out the investigation, getting a Kroc out of a suburban pool, and other unmentionable hilarious parts. The movie overall is extremely comical and left for me a memorable sensation after I left the movie theater. Other friends of mine agree with this standpoint and I encourage all of you to go see the movie, yet background or knowledge of the cast and its airing on Comedy Central will help immensely. Actors include Cedric Yarbrough and Niecy Nash, and is rated R for some nudity, crude humor, language, and drug use (not one for the kids ; ) ). I give this movie a 2.5 to 3 tickets. Please comment or post your opinions about this movie. Thanks!

Reel Time Answer of the Week
The dog's name in the movie Next Friday was Chico. Stay tuned for next week's trivia question and feel free to comment or list some movie questions that would blow someone's mind. Beware however, for as the weeks pass so will the questions and the more complex/harder they will become!

Jim Carrey Breaking Out of the Funny Role?
The Canadian product, Jim Carrey, has played the comical role for numerous years and has succeeded in every movie he's starred in. I believe that most of us will never forget him in the role of Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber. Let us also not forget Liar/Liar, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, Me, Myself, and Irene, Cable Guy, The Mask, The Grinch, The Truman Show, and Lemony Snickets, which have propelled the actor into the comical spotlight. However, the upcoming movie, The Number 23, is far from comical, yet resides its presence in the dark atmosphere of mystery, violence, and is overall a psychological thriller. "The Number 23" revolves around a man (Jim Carrey) whose life takes an abrupt turn after he encounters a unique book entitled "The Number 23". The book seems to parallel his own life and starts to take a stranglehold of his own imagination and mold his personal will/thought patterns. His obsession reveals to him a foreshadowing of graver consequences that will be sketched into his life and realizes his life is about to take a complex turn. The movie is rated R and is suspenseful from beginning to end. The Butterfly Effect, Secret Window, and Hide and Seek take root or follow a similar pathway in their content and are good parallels to this movie. In turn, after the premier of the movie, raving reviews have emerged. Personally, I'm looking forward to seeing this movie and the movie is released tomorrow, February 23 2007. Jim Carrey is finally transitioning into a new role and I believe that this movie will propel him into more serious positions and movies. My prediction for the movie is a rating of 3-4 stars. I encourage all of you to flock out in masses to this thriller! Please post your opinions prior to and after the movie, I'm curious of what you think. Thanks!

Breach
For anyone who likes those intreguing, espianage type movies, this one's for you. While Breach can't quite be labeled a thinking person's movie, it grips you until the last scene. I was quite surprised that I got lost in this movie, especially after being shown what the result of the movie would be in the first scene. The plot was good too. I wouldn't put Breach in my top 10 picks, but I liked it a lot. What did you think?

Reel Time Answer of the Week
The answer to the first question ever asked on Movie Enthusiasts was c.Orlando Bloom. Sorry that there is no prize for getting an answer correct, yet isn't answering questions correctly always a blast? Keep visiting our site to discover next week's question and attempt to get it correct. It is a doze.

Because I Said So
Most people can find it in themselves to appreciate a good chick flick every once in a while. Is Because I Said So one of the good ones? It involves a single mother just about to turn 60, with only one of her three daughters yet unmarried. She is constantly trying to control her daighter's love life, and after she creates an online dating profile for her daughter, things get way out of control, and people get hurt. In the end though, everyone winds up happy. Personally, I found the meddeling mother frusterating and the way that sex is viewed in this less than conventional family to be too promiscuous for my taste. However, the movie did have the required fairy tale ending, and some great humor. Is this movie a creative gem or a flouncy flop?

Ghost Rider: Going Down In Flames?
Nicholas Cage is a great actor and so too is the beautiful Eva Mendez, however is their performance along with that of their castmates something that can make this movie special. Ghost Rider takes its roots from its comic book version and deals with a man by the name of Johnny Blaze, a stunt motorcyclist, who gives up his soul to become a hell blazing force against injustices, which leads to a fight against the power hungry Blackheart, who is evidently the son of the devil himself. Now the director, Mark Steven Johnson, also directed Dare Devil, which was a mediocre movie at best. Comic book fans and other loyal Cage/Mendez supporters will flock to see this movie. Even though this is true, what about the rest? Can Cage's versatile performance in any movie he does captivate movie lovers? Or will this just be another comic book attempt to become a hit success movie gone bad? Reminder to many that Spider-Man is one of the few comic book movies to hit gold. I believe that this comic book should've been left on the shelf and that this movie will only bring in those that are curious. It comes out February 16th and I'd love to be proved wrong. Opinions please!

Happily Ever After
I recently saw the movie "Smokin' Aces." I personally was not a huge fan of the movie, but my boyfriend loved it. I felt that it had way too many plots going on that didn't seem to all line up. In the end of the movie, almost everyone dies and everyone seems unhappy. I hate these type of endings. Maybe it's just because I'm a girl and I love a good ol' fairytale story where everyone in the end is happy. This movie left me with a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. How does everyone else feel about this? Do you like any type of story with any type of ending? Or are you like me and you love a good happy ending? Let me know!

Tri-Fector
If I were to randomly walk up to twenty five people, varying in ages, let's say from teen years on up, and asked them to name their top ten favorite movies of all time, I guarantee that a large percentage of them would include a trilogy movie in their list. The "Tri-fector" as I like to call it always seems to appeal to movie goers and bring in a surplus of money at the box office. They seem to captivate us and entice us. Fan clubs, conventions, websites, merchandise, and hours upon hours of watching the movie on end is a result of this. Trilogies including Star Wars (new and old), Indiana Jones, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, Back to the Future, Jaws, Spider Man, Home Alone, Mighty Ducks,Jurassic Park, Austin Powers, and many more bring satisfaction to all. Some are satisfied with the works while others complain about specific substitutions or the end product. However, it seems as if when it comes down to it, the world and all ages love trilogies. Also, sometimes it is just best to leave a movie at three and not add on anymore (AGREE?) as well as changing the characters over time (AGREE?). Anyways I'm just curious about what your opinions are to this?

Epic Movie
Is it just me or is this movie a complete bust. I haven't even looked up the income its pulled in for its first week or two and I don't feel I need to.I saw the trailer for Epic Movie and thought it was tacky as well as ridiculous in its content. Personally, any movie that is motivated in its intentions to mock other prime time hit movies and poke as well as make fun at them should bail out of the production before they mock themselves. When was the last time these type of movies were a so called 'box office hit' or were funny in their nature. Plus you can't even call those who act in the movies talented actors. Overall, I may be sounding harsh in my content and it is my opinion as well as I haven't seen the movie first hand, yet I believe that this is a common opinion among many. Individuals go into these movies with curiosity and hope it'll be a movie that will make them die of laugther, but walk out with disgust and a ripped off feeling. What do you think?
